So Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg play the screw ball cops, the cops that aren’t in the spotlight, only the only so so cops. Mark plays a washed out cop that accidentally shot Derek Jeter during the World Series, Will Ferrel is an office paper pusher too afraid to go out and be a cop.
This film was ok, worth a watch. I think it is one of Will Ferrel’s best jobs since the days of Anchorman. The movie had some burst out loud laugh scenes that really hit the spot. I think the mixture of Will’s slap stick comedy combined with Mark’s over the top performance was a blast. I really enjoyed this film.
It was nice to see Michael Keaton in this film. I think he plays a better secondary character than the main lead. Michael Keaton has been going downhill ever since Multiplicity.
I didn’t particularly enjoy the end. It was one of those all of the sudden wrap ups. It was in the climax one second, then suddenly done. You could make a lot of jokes about my statement just a second ago, but hopefully you understand what I’m saying.
The movie is worth checking out, a good comedy for the wrap up of the summer.
I hereby declare this film a 75 out of 100. Most certainly worth a rent.
